THE MINISTRY of MUSIC

The ministry of Music of the Christian church is a vital and important ministry.  Think how impoverished the worship experience would be without it- although the worship of God does not require instruments or choral music.  The ministry of Music entails more than singing.  It is a “ministry” to which “calling” outweighs “ability”.  Before you can minister effectively, the endorsement of Heaven must be upon your life.  One must know that they have been called/chosen to this ministry.  This ministry is used as a tool to reach those outside of the body of Christ who have no relationship with Him, and to those who are in need of ministering.
The ministry of Music of Mount Zion is serious because it is God’s message through music we impart to those who frequent the worship experience in our congregation.  While many view music as a form of entertainment and emotional conditioning, our ministry is designed to witness to the unsaved, encourage the believer, and disciple and edify the people of God.  The ministry of our choirs is diverse in genre and in spirit.
At Mount Zion, praising and adulating God is an integral part of the worship experience and life of the congregation.  The ministry is comprised of:
•  The Church Choir — the main choral group of the church comprised of teens, young adults, and adults.
•  The Senior Choir — comprised of senior saints of the congregation.
